Keele University and KeeleSU would like to issue a warning regarding an event page on Facebook entitled “The Secret Festival - Keele University End of Exams Festival” or more recently - "The Secret Festival - Keele & Staffs End of Exams Festival".
This event is in no way associated with Keele University or KeeleSU. You are strongly advised to consider extremely carefully the validity of any purchases you make on-line and that you use only reputable and established ticketing platforms.
The event description on the Facebook page discloses coach departure times from Keele University. This has not been agreed with or authorised by the University. Investigations carried out by KeeleSU staff, with support from the University, suggest that the event may be one which is taking place some 140 miles from Keele. As this event, wherever it may be taking place, is not organised by the University or KeeleSU we cannot guarantee any safeguarding or contingency procedures in place should an incident occur.
Students are also advised to be wary of anybody getting in contact encouraging them to be ticket reps on a commission basis for any event.
KeeleSU will be holding the official end of exams summer party “Woodstoke Festival 2015” on Wednesday 3rd June, with announcements to be made imminently.
