On Tuesday, 26th January we ran Project: Plant Pot to improve the perception of Students in our local community. Students collected a free plant from KeeleSU to give to their neighbour as a gesture of a goodwill.
Nearly 30 plants were collected, helping Students to build positive relationships and get to know their neighbours. We got some great feedback about the event, including a very happy neighbour ringing us to say how thankful she is for her plant from the students next door and how great she thinks the project is!
We could not have run the stall without our dedicated group of volunteers, who throughout the day also managed to support Free Rice to donate over 2,500 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program, through their microvolunteering project.
