Deputy Venue Manager

Keele SU is looking to recruit a Deputy Venue Manager to support the effective management of the Keele Student's Union venues provision. This including bars, entertainments and technical requirements, involving budget management, staff recruitment and supervision, maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality and customer service & satisfaction. You will work closely with the Venue Manager, fellow Deputy Venue Manager, Facilities Team and External Security contractors, Ops Manager and Deputy Ops Manager. Your role will be to set and maintain standards by leading a commercial team across all bars and entertainments provision, taking responsibility for developing products taking into account industry trends and customer expectation. Ensuring a high profile and reputation of the Union and University are maintained. You will also manage the budget in relation to sales and staffing costs to ensure profit levels are met and act as Duty Manager for the Premises.

You must have excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, and are able to organise your own work and that of the team as well as prioritising effectively.

It essential that you have a DPS Personal License, and a Cellar Managerment Qualification is desirable.

Salary: £21'000 - £24'300

Head Cleaner

KeeleSU is looking for a Head Cleaner to lead the cleaning team ensuring the Students’ Union is maintained in a clean and tidy condition. The team duties include undertaking various cleaning duties including uplifting furniture, mopping, sweeping, operating industrial cleaning equipment, wiping furniture, walls and paintwork, cleaning toilets and other related tasks.

You will be working in a busy multi use venue that features bars, nightclub areas, catering outlets, shops as well as general social areas and a number of office spaces.  

You will have experience of supervising a team, using cleaning chemicals and operating industrial cleaning machinery. You will have knowledge of Health and Safety and Hygiene procedures and COSHH regulations.

You must have good communication skills and people skills and be able to work within a team as well as independently.

Salary: £16,575 - £18,900

Media Sales Coordinator (Communications and Engagement)

To be responsible for effective communication of key messages in order to increase student engagement in and awareness of KeeleSU’s services, facilities and work. To promote and market services and facilities to students, staff, visitors and other stakeholders. To be responsible for media sales.

Salary: SU Grade D £19,000 rising to £20,200.

Minibus Driver

To operate, provide an effective and safe Transport and Safety Bus service as a minibus driver for KeeleSU, while driving to the highest possible standards and providing the highest standards of customer service.

Salary:  SU Grade B £15,600 rising to £16,380 (Pro-rata actual £4,680 - £4,914)
