Irish Dance Society

Irish dance is a traditional form of dance which can be done individually or as a group (ceili dancing). There are two types of shoes worn in Irish dance: heavy/hard/jig shoes and pomps/light/soft/ghillie shoes. Many people know Irish dance from Riverdance and Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance. It is a fun way to keep fit and try something new!

We run weekly classes for beginners and experienced members which are led by the committee.
