What is YoungAcademics?
YoungAcademics is a new innovative collaborative research space that allows Medical Students to apply for research projects with clinical researchers. You will be involved in current research that interests you and it is highly likely this will result in publication and co-authorship for presentations and/or papers!
YoungAcademics was piloted in Kings College London, where it was incredibly successful, with many students getting involved in research projects. YoungAcademics is looking to expand to other Medical Schools in the UK.
How it works:
Clinicians and academics upload research projects to the ‘Supervisor Page’
Medical students view/apply for these projects via the ‘Student Page’
All student applications are reviewed by the society ‘Research Coordinators’.
Successful students are paired with the supervisors via email notification to work on the project together.
