KeeleSU Elections 2021
KeeleSU is run by students, for students, and every year at KeeleSU we hold elections so that you can decide on a team of student officers to lead KeeleSU for the next academic year. Voting is open from the 1st March at 9am and closes on the 4th March at 5pm with results announced on Thursday night.

The Athletic Union and Sport Officer advocates for an overall high quality and fulfilling
student experience, paying specific attention to sport and physical activity. They work to ensure there are ample opportunities for students to
participate in sport and activity that will contribute to their sense of
belonging, personal and professional development, health and overall happiness. They work to
tackle the barriers that prevent students engaging in sport and advocate on behalf of all AU clubs.

The Union Development and Democracy Officer advocates for the membership and the
Students’ Union to the University and wider community. They ensure that students are given
ample opportunities to have their voice heard through accessible and transparent democratic
procedures and hold key responsibility for the input of student feedback into the
development of the Students’ Union. They encourage and enable students to positively
engage with and have meaningful impact on the wider community.

The Education Officer represents the academic interests of all students. They work to ensure
that students receive an educational experience that is high quality, value for money,
appropriately resourced and accessible. They ensure that students are given ample
opportunities to give meaningful feedback on their academic programmes and work for the
ongoing enhancement of students educational experience. They hold strategic responsibility
for the academic interests of members.

The Activities and Community Officer advocates for an overall high quality and fulfilling
student experience. They work to ensure there are ample opportunities for students to
participate in activities beyond the formal curriculum that will contribute to their sense of
belonging, personal and professional development and overall happiness such as societies and volunteering. They hold strategic responsibility for the engagement of members in extra curricular activity.

The Welfare and Diversity Officer advocates for the overall wellbeing, mental health and
safety of the student membership. They work to ensure students are able to access high
quality support services that meet their needs. They champion equality and diversity and
work to tackle the systematic barriers faced by students from liberation backgrounds. They
hold strategic responsibility for the support of members.
