Hello guys, gals and non-binary pals. The time has come; it’s election season, but have no fear, Elisia is here and I’m running to be YOUR Union Development and Democracy Officer. I’m currently studying an MSc in International Business and have been at Keele for the past 5 years. I have been on committee for various societies, including Acapella, Show Choir and Ambassadors’ Society and am very active within the Business School. My interests tend to revolve around music, from musical theatre to Beyonce (mainly).

Me? Choosing to run? I know. Trust me, running in an election is the only running I do. But in all honesty, I’m running to be the change I want to see. Previously, there has been a negative connotation with those in elected officer positions, and this year I want to change that disconnect by ensuring that your worries are addressed effectively. After all, we are here to support YOU and I can assure you that enhancing YOUR experience will be my top priority.
After 5 years, I am rather well-versed in the issues that remain at the forefront of the student body, seeing how these have changed over time. I believe it is finally time for me to take a stand and help to address these issues, ensuring all voices are heard, not just the majority. Having been a Student Ambassador, Business School Ambassador and Student Voice Representative, I have the experience and knowledge needed for the role of UDD. I am familiar with creating lines of communication between students, committee and senior university staff, and am not afraid to voice the student opinion and work toward resolving these issues effectively.
From better mental health support, to increased student representation, I want to help all students feel valued and included and get the best out of their university experience. I want to make REAL change within the SU and would love your support in doing so.
With that being said, according to all known laws of aviation there’s no reason you shouldn’t vote for me.
