Monday 28 November 2022
3pm - 4pm

This event is run by Psychology Society

Come along to a talk by Dr Sue Sherman, a lecturer in Health and Memory Psychology at Keele University. She'll be talking about her research and her career journey in Academia and it'll be a great opportunity to learn about the work that goes on here at Keele.

As this will be a much sought after event, we ask that you register your interest here for this talk.

Excerpt from her Keele Page:

"I am interested in the psychological impact of issues surrounding cervical cancer and the human papillomavirus (HPV). I am also interested in the public awareness of and understanding about HPV which causes a range of cancers. I have recently had funding from the North Staffordshire Medical Institute to explore the psychological distress caused to women with cervical cancer by discovering that their smear history included a misread smear. Most recently I have received funding from the Wellcome Trust to explore issues around the male HPV vaccination. For further information on my HPV and cervical screening research please"
