To branch out and raise more awareness of Concert Band, the society created a ‘Marching Band’ whilst on tour in Portugal and this has continued ever since, marching on campus at events like Keele University Open Days.
Throughout the year, Keele Concert Band have maintained a consistent presence with KeeleSU training and democracy. They had the core of their committee attend the KeeleSU Activities ‘Societies and Sport Conference’ and represent the society at Forums for Change and Society Forum, as well as promoting the KeeleSU Elections within their society and to the wider student body.
In April, Keele Concert Band arranged ‘Earthrise’; a concert with the Astrophysics Department. This collaboration is something the society have done all year, inviting wherever possible different societies, groups and performers to be a part of their performances.
