Overview

Part- time officer roles are unpaid roles which students carry out alongside their studies, they are required to spend a minimum of 1 hour per week carrying out their tasks and responsibilities. Each Part-Time Officer is supported by a specific Full-Time Officer.

As a Part-Time Officer, you are automatically a member of Union Council along with the Full-Time Officers.

 

Role Description

The Postgraduate Students’ Officer is responsible for the representation of postgraduate taught students, postgraduate research students and students studying a postgraduate teaching qualification. They are responsible for representing and campaigning for postgraduate students and working with the Education Officer and Keele Postgraduate Association to ensure the voices of postgraduate students are heard and fully represented. They are also responsible for publicising things of interest to postgraduate students, advocating for their interests, making sure their concerns and opinions are heard by the Students' Union, and encourage their engagement and participation in the activities and campaigns of the SU. They also work with Elected Officers on joint projects and campaigns to benefit Keele students, and serve as a key contact between postgraduates and the Students' Union.

Only members who are studying on a postgraduate programme may stand for this position.
