Street Team has been very active in sharing their project and assisting other universities in setting up similar walking bus schemes across the UK. They have been corresponding with York St. John University and the University of York who was interested in learning from the Keele Project. They have also been in touch with St Andrews University and our local neighbouring university, Staffordshire University. Street Team's impact on the community is one of creating a safe, reassuring atmosphere not just for our students, but also local residents, who now know that local students are safely getting home in groups and have Street Team volunteers radioed up to local security and police services.
