Overview
AU Committee Roles are unpaid roles which students carry out alongside their studies. They are required to spend a minimum of 1 hour per week carrying out their tasks and responsibilities.
AU Committee roles are supported by the Athletic Union and Sport Officer.
Role Description
The AU Secretary is responsible for attending and taking minutes at AU Council meetings and any AU Committee meetings throughout the year. They ensure that clubs are aware of all communications from the AU office and that minimum club standards are met. They are also responsible for publicising minutes of all relevant meetings to the membership.
All AU committee members shall help organise Varsity each year in conjunction with Staffordshire University.
Only members who are committee members of an AU affiliated club may stand for this position.
AU Committee members shall be elected via a ballot of all students who are members of an affiliated AU club.
