Overview

Part- time officer roles are unpaid roles which students carry out alongside their studies, they are required to spend a minimum of 1 hour per week carrying out their tasks and responsibilities. Each Part-Time Officer is supported by a specific Full-Time Officer.

As a Part-Time Officer, you are automatically a member of Union Council along with the Full-Time Officers.

 

Role Description

The International Students' Officer is a part-time position paying specific attention to a key demographic of Keele students. They are responsible for representing international students, including increasing awareness of international prejudice and discrimination, they will proactively campaign to oppose and challenge inequality. They are also responsible for publicising things of interest to international students, advocating for their interests, and making sure their concerns and opinions are heard by the Students' Union, and encourage their engagement and participation in the activities and campaigns of the SU. They also work with Elected Officers on joint projects and campaigns to benefit Keele students, and serve as a key contact between international students and the Students' Union, and consequently work with the international and cultural student societies to support their success and aims..

Only members who identify as International may stand for this position.
