KeeleSU Advice & Support @ Keele (ASK) is now a Third Party Hate Crime Reporting Centre for North Staffs Challenge

Whose aim is:


  • Raising the profile of Hate Crimes, Hate Incidents and Challenge North Staffs
  • Supporting victims to report Hate Crime and Hate Incidents
  • Demonstrating solidarity with those who suffer from Hate Crime and Incidents
  • Affirming the right of every individual regardless of their age, race, gender status, sexual orientation, disability, religion or belief to be treated equally and fairly and to feel safe in our community.


Hate crime is any incident where the victim or any other person thinks that it is motivated by prejudice or hate.  Most forms of hate incidents are criminal offences and should be reported.  Hate incidents include; graffiti, anti-social behaviour, verbal abuse, assault, abusive phone calls, hate mail, threats, disputes, damage to property, theft harassment, arson.  You may be targeted because of your age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, faith/ religion/belief, mental health. 


The service is available for all students and staff regarding incidents on campus or in the community.


If you are a victim or witness to a hate incident, you can report this by contacting ASK, ground floor, KeeleSU, 01782 734800 or at or reporting the incident online at Challenge North Staffs or calling 0330 1111 999.
