What is Love SUs?
Love SUs is a campaign about the great work that SUs up and down the country do to support students. Students' Unions are charities that work really hard to ensure that students are represented, supported and given opportunities to develop themselves, make friends and love their time at Uni. But we know that our student members face a number of difficulties as students. Maybe it's being priced out of decent accommodation, not being able to access mental health services or even not being able to find somewhere to sit in the library. Students' Unions have a proud history of wins for students but we know that public opinion on Students' Unions and the work that they do can often be misinformed and influenced by a sensationalist media. Love SUs is a campaign to help inform you about the work that your Students' Union does for you, and to focus on the amazing things our students do such as volunteering, engaging in sport with Team Keele and driving academic excellence as Student Voice Reps!
What is a Students’ Union?
A students' union, student government, free student union, student senate, students' association, guild of students, or government of student body is a student organization present in many colleges, universities, and high schools. In higher education, the students' union is often accorded its own building on the campus, dedicated to social, organizational activities, representation, and academic support of the membership.

How does this affect my student experience?
Everyday KeeleSU makes decisions about your student experience on your behalf.
This may be full or part-time elected officers that canvass student opinion to the university to change or improve things or they may direct the work of the staff members that operate services for students, such as ASK or the AU.

Thursday 29th November is #LoveSUs Day, where we come together to highlight the impact of students’ unions, why we are incredibly proud of all our amazing work, and why decision-makers need to take student voice seriously. On #LoveSUs Day we highlight the fantastic work students' unions do each and every day. Last year we received a huge amount of support with students, officers, and others sharing the reasons why they love students' unions. So much so that #LoveSUs was trending all day.
