What's the role?

Keele SU is an independent charity, and our Trustees are volunteers who lead our strategic direction. Collectively, they are responsible for all that the students’ union does, and they delegate a number of their responsibilities to the staff of the SU, so ensuring those people are supported and challenged to do a great job is a big part of our work. The Trustee Board is made up of a mixture of elected and appointed students, and externally appointed specialists. A variety of backgrounds, experiences and skills gives us the best chance of making good decisions for students. Trusteeship is fulfilling and great for the CV. You’ll be involved in setting budgets for a £4 million organisation, oversee the work of the Chief Executive and Leadership Team, and agree strategic priorities.
