To increase Young at Heart's on-line presence which involves:
• Raising awareness in social isolation and loneliness in older people
• Promoting our services, funding events, volunteer and job opportunities
• Assisting in managing multi-media platform volunteer recruitment campaigns
Raising awareness within general and specific communities about social isolation and loneliness
Be familiar with the work of Father Hudson's Care and The Young at Heart Project
Liaising with the marketing and fundraising team to plan scheduled promotions and campaigns
Actively promote The Young at Heart Project on social media
Be aware of current and breaking social isolation news items and being able to respond appropriately with guidance
Commit to a minimum involvement of 6 months
Reliable and trustworthy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Current or recent experience in using social media, no professional/academic qualification required but must be able to demonstrate good use of Facebook
Confident in handling queries and being mindful of boundaries and The Young at Heart Project's Social Media policy
Able to communicate efficiently with the Marketing and Fundraising team
A flexible and organised approach to work
Ability to write about social isolation and loneliness issues in an informed and sympathetic manner
Being fully aware that in this role your on-line presence also reflects on The Young at Heart Project– we do not expect you to share anything that compromises The Young at Heart Project's integrity eg offensive or discriminatory language or points of view.
A willingness to support The Young at Heart Projects events, taking photographs and creating stories etc
