Working with NHS Combined Health teams to support with the delivery of an Ambassadors (Peer Support) Training Programme to Year 12 pupils in local schools.

The interim volunteering opportunity is to support with the delivery of an Ambassadors (Peer Support) Training Programme to Year 12 pupils in local schools. This will equip young people with the skills required to support their peers with low level mental health difficulties and signposting to appropriate services.

We are planning to hold a train the trainer day on the 27/02/23 at the Harplands Hospital to prepare trainers for the delivery of the training.

We would be looking for volunteers with either lived experience and/or a passion/enthusiasm for mental health awareness and reducing the stigma. They will also need to have a basic knowledge of mental health difficulties and disorders and looking after their own and others Wellbeing.

Good communication and presentation skills and being able to engage and motivate young people will also be key attributes.
