Student Networks

Our way of making sure that students from liberation groups (such as women, students of colour, or students with disabilities) are able to run campaigns on issues that affect them specifically.
BAME Network

Welcome to the BAME Student Network! Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive space for self-identifying BAME students on campus. We aim to empower our community through BAME-led actions and campaigns, fostering a sense of belonging and support.

What We Offer:

  • Safe Social Spaces: Join us for socials, film nights, games nights, and discussion groups where you can connect with fellow BAME students.
  • Empowerment Through Action: Participate in democratic forums, decolonizing the curriculum initiatives, university policy changes, awareness campaigns, educational events, and political activism.
  • Community and Support: We provide resources, support, and a strong sense of community to help BAME students thrive academically and socially.

Get Involved:

  • Events and Activities: Throughout the year, we host a variety of events, including mixers, academic talks, cultural activities, and more.
  • Campaigns and Advocacy: Work with us to address and act on issues related to race, racism, and ethnicity within the university.

By joining the BAME Student Network, you’ll be part of a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to making a positive impact on campus. We look forward to welcoming you!
