Food Stalls at Keele

Running a food stall? Awesome! Just make sure you're following the University’s food safety policy. Here’s what you need to have ready before you set up:

  • Public Liability Insurance Documentation
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Allergen Training Certificates
  • Completed Risk Assessment (including fire risks)
  • PAT Test Certificates (for any electrical equipment)

Food at Society Meet-Ups/Events

Planning to serve food at your society meet-ups or events? You’ll need to stick to the same food safety policy. This ensures everyone stays safe and enjoys the food without any worries.

Food Hygiene in General

To keep things hygienic, anyone preparing food must have a Food Hygiene Certificate. If you're part of a student group, you can get one for free! Just send the name and email of the person making the food to su.activities@keele.ac.uk, and we’ll provide a free food hygiene certificate code.

Equipment Safety

Using any equipment? Make sure it’s PAT tested and included in your risk assessment. This helps prevent any accidents and keeps everything running smoothly.
