A strong brand helps your society stand out, attract new members, and build a lasting identity. Branding isn’t just about logos—it’s about how your group looks, sounds, and feels to others. This guide will help you create a consistent and engaging brand for your club or society at Keele.
Your brand is the personality of your society. It includes your name, logo, colours, tone of voice, and the way you communicate online and in person. A good brand builds trust, recognition, and a sense of belonging.
Your tone of voice is how your society “speaks.” Is it fun and friendly? Professional and informative? Make sure your tone matches your audience and purpose—and use it consistently across all platforms.

Sports club? Make sure your branding aligns with Team Keele.
Here are some of the club and society logos that have recently been changed, which you can use as guidance. While it's not essential to have an 'on brand' logo, making it clear you're a Keele Society or Club helps people identify you as part of the Keele community, and including your name helps people immediately know what society this is.
Since our rebrand, lots of teams are changing their kits to match. We've got examples below of kits meeting the Team Keele brand guidelines. If you have new kit, remember to submit the design to Team Keele for approval. Remember that kits need to be primarily navy blue, and feature the full university logo.
