Hello! We are Keele British Sign Language Society, and our aim is to encourage the learning and use of BSL and to celebrate Deaf culture. Whether you are a complete beginner, know a few signs or BSL is your first language – You are welcome here.

We plan to host fun socials bi-weekly, hold assessment support sessions for those undergoing the global pathway and collaborate with other societies. Workshops will be hosted for the teaching of BSL and this will not be the primary focus of every social. However, there will always be signing incorporated and an opportunity to learn!

Our membership is £3 for the entire year, so it is low risk (and hopefully you find it to be high reward). This fee contributes to resources we provide within socials, including any snacks/prizes/print-outs. There may be an additional expense if you wish to purchase merchandise or attend the end of year event which is in the works. Obviously, these will be as low cost as we can make them, and entirely optional.

For those who are Deaf/HoH and use hearing aids or have general adjustments that need to be made – Please contact us so we can make adjustments for you!
