Keele Medics Football Club is rapidly growing to be one of the biggest medical societies! With university sport being a large and often difficult commitment, Medics Football offers a relaxed yet competitive alternative.
The club is open to all five years, both men and women. Our aim is to bring all five years together to create a fun and competitive football club, and this will hopefully create a foundation to build on for all Keele medics sports in the future.
Training happens once a week on the 3G pitch (behind the sports centre):
We are entered into an 11-a-side Friday night league, playing local footballs teams and other university societies, as well as Regional NAMS – competing against Liverpool, Manchester and Lancaster Medical Schools.
Membership (£30) covers every training session for the entire year! If you can’t commit, then feel free to turn up and pay £4 on the door. So it’s well worth it if you enjoy your football and want to get to know medics from all years. Kit is available to buy twice a year from: https://keeleuniversity.admclubshop.co.uk/medics-football
Non-medics are welcome to join, although may not be able to play in the national tournaments (but I’m sure we can sneak you in).
Any questions/comments/suggestions then please feel free to email us: firstname.lastname@example.org and also join the facebook page for all posts and updates!
It’s an exciting time! Make sure you play a big part in it! Spread the word!
