Hello and welcome to KUMU!

Keele University Music Union (KUMU) is designed to bring the music societies together. We organise and run a range of events to encourage inter-society interaction, a highlight being the Summer Performance Ball and joint concerts such as the Summer extravaganza! We also run smaller events and socials throughout the academic year, allowing the music groups to mix. We are also a point of contact for any issues which arise where extra support may be needed.

KUMU also speaks to the music department and SU regularly to allow the societies to use equipment and get involved in events the SU are running. KUMU also book the concert venues for the groups to use, most commonly the University Chapel and Westminster Theatre in Chancellors.

There are twelve different music groups that we represent: Acapella, Brass Band, Clarinet Choir, Concert Band, Flute Choir, Folk & Acoustic, Gospel Choir, Jazz Band, Medical Melodies, Philharmonic Ensembles, Show Choir and Symphonia Orchestra. Information about the individual societies can be found on their SU pages.

KUMU is FREE to join!
