Keele Athletics and Cross Country Club is a friendly club of dedicated athletes who partake in track, field and cross country events - and are looking to expand to include triathlon this year.
Cross country training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is student lead. We hold a variety of sessions, which include interval training, hill reps and speed work around our beautiful campus. We meet in the Colin Reeves car park at 6pm. Athletics training takes place at Northwood Stadium, hosted by external club City of Stoke AC. If demand is high enough, the club will look into organising group transport to and from the stadium. Training times will be confirmed during the year as they can change and are set by an external club. As these are not Keele facilities, an additional cost is required to use them.
We aim to compete at the BUCS Cross Country, Indoor Athletics, Outdoor Athletics and potentially Triathlon Championships during the year – as well as the North Staffs Cross Country League, North Midlands Cross Country League and a variety of open meets and athletics competitions hosted by other universities. We also have regular socials from nights out to club meals there is something for everyone. Additionally, we host many charity events, such as the Keele Santa run. If you have any questions please contact us via email or come down and meet us all at training.
