Keele University Fencing Club welcomes all!
There’s no skill level needed, we welcome complete beginners, to seasoned pros, and if you have extra requirements such as a physical disability, we have a wheelchair fencing piste (thanks to our 2023/24 Key Fund)!
The club has a number of experienced fencers who share their knowledge and help everyone improve, and participate in 'Fight Nights' with other clubs.
We partake in BUCS team fixtures and individual events, the annual Warwick National Novices Competition (open to all fencers with up to two years experience) and various other opens throughout the country and sometimes abroad!
With weekly socials, there's plenty of parties and activities to keep you busy, whether its drinking or alcohol free, on campus or in the local area, we're always up to something!
The Charity Showdown is an annual charity event organised by the Fencing Club, where members fight to win a central donation pot for their charity, while exchanging tokens (awarded for raising money) to gain advantages in their matches. Keep an eye out for it and don't be afraid to take part!
If you feel like trying something new, or want to hone your swordsmanship skills, join Keele University Fencing Club, winners of the AU Club of the Year 2024!
