Welcome to Aerial Dance Society!

Hi, throughout the year we'll be running a wide range of classes from pole and exotic pole to flexibility and strength classes to aerial silks, and aerial hoop. We aim to provide all members with the skills and knowledge of pole and aerial dance so that they can confidently perform and have fun in the process. We have a very strong emphasis on inclusion and therefore welcome anyone who is interested in learning. Whether you're an experienced leaner or can't even touch your toes! We strongly encourage you to join us, as aerial dance and pole will not only help in the physical sense but is a great way to socialise and meet new people through the number of socials and fundraisers we will have throughout the year. We hope to see you there!

All classes held in the K2 unless specifically stated otherwise.

Strength and Conditioning 21.1

Date & time: Wed 24 Apr 2024, 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Places available: 25

In this strength and conditioning class we will be using a mixture of all our equipment (hoop, silks and pole) and the floor to work on some strength and conditioning exercises

These classes will be aimed at an intermediate level but all are welcome.

What to wear:

Leggings and a comfortable top you can move in.

No zips or velcro and avoid long nails since these can all damage the silks.

Do not moisturise before this class

Intermediate Aerial 21.1

Date & time: Wed 24 Apr 2024, 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Places available: 25

In this intermediate aerial class we will work on a mixture of intermediate moves on silks and hoop.

What to wear:

Leggings and a comfortable top you can move in.

No zips or velcro and avoid long nails since these can all damage the silks.

Please only book onto intermediate aerial if you have been invited to do so by a committee member.

Beginners Aerial 21.1

Date & time: Wed 24 Apr 2024, 3pm - 4pm

Places available: 25

In this beginners aerial class we will work on a mixture of beginners moves on silks and hoop.

What to wear:

Leggings and a comfortable top you can move in.

No zips or velcro and avoid long nails since these can all damage the silks.

Please only book onto one beginners aerial class since spaces are limited.

Exotic Pole 21.1

Date & time: Sun 28 Apr 2024, 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Places available: 25

This session is an Exotic Pole session where will learn a mixture of pole moves, floorwork and flow to fit a piece of choreography.

It is open to members of all levels.

What to wear:

Shorts preferable in most cases leggings will be fine.

If you wish to wear them you may bring pole heels. Please bear in mind only heels specific for pole will be allowed.

Knee pads optional

No buckles, jewellery or zips.

Please do not moisturise on this day.

In this Advanced pole session we will work on a mixture of advanced static and spinny pole tricks and flow.

Please only book on to this session if you have been invited by a committee member to this level

Please do not moisturise on this day.
