Welcome to Keele Pole Society!
Throughout the year we'll be running a wide range of classes from complete beginners having never touched a pole before, to advanced polers who compete in national competitions! Equipment includes 7 poles and three Lyras (a pole/hoop hybrid).
As well as weekly pole classes, we'll be also run a variety of fun workshops like flexibility, strength and bring a friend!
All available class packages can be seen and purchased below, or you can drop into any class by contacting one of our committee members or just coming along.
Feel free to get in touch with us at any time or join our Facebook page.
Covid update
Due to the current Pandemic semester 1 will be run largely online, we hope to be able to get you all back on the equipment as soon as we can and as safely as possible. We will be running stretch and strength-based sessions aimed in giving members the best support for when we can move back onto our equipment. Whether you're a beginner or advanced we will work on adapting these sessions to be as inclusive as possible!
We still hope to be able to give members the chance to gain volunteer hours via the society as well, these can be added to your HEAR record and go towards Keele's Volunteer Awards. Your HEAR record also forms part of your final transcript.
We will try to ensure Socials can still take place though these will likely be via an online platform and will be carried out in regards to the current government and university guidelines.
We also have a private FaceBook group were all information in regards to classes will be posted (Add yourself via the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1020096315132461)
