Talks, teaching sessions and hands on workshops to develop your knowledge and skills of Emergency and Pre-Hospital care.

Keele Pre-hospital & Emergency care society is open to all people with a keen interest in emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. We hold talks, teaching sessions and hands on experiences to introduce people to trauma care.

What is Pre-hospital care?
Prehospital care is a developing and exciting area of emergency practice. In short it covers the management a wide range of medical conditions using medical interventions is all environments outside an emergency department/critical care healthcare setting.

> It usually involves responding to an incident scene (e.g. a road accident) and medically managing patients in an ambulance environment via road, air and sea, whilst being transferred to hospital.

> Medical conditions range from minor illness and injury to life threatening emergencies. Pre-hospital interventions therefore also range from simple first aid to advanced emergency care and pre-hospital emergency anaesthesia
