Does the smell of chlorine get your blood racing? If so, look no further and join Keele University Swimming Club!
Keele University Swimming Club thrives in finding the balance between those who compete and those who would rather take it easy. It doesn’t matter if you can’t dive or haven’t ‘trained properly’ since you were 12 – we are a huge swimming family promoting equality and will cater for all members in and out of the pool. We are an inclusive sport that caters for all swimming abilities given that you can swim 50m unaided and are comfortable in the deep end to tread water. If you wish to compete, we take part in BUCS Competitions as well as various friendly galas.
As a club we compete in Varsity against Staffordshire University with an 8-year winning streak. Training takes place 4 times a week (we provide transport to & from the pools) including a land training session held in the Keele Sports Centre on Wednesdays, however we are looking into expanding our training sessions. Socials take place on a Wednesday night and give you the chance to get to know the team in a fun & friendly environment. We also take part in charity events which have included 3 Peaks and Lakes 3000, raising thousands of pounds for Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
Come and join us! We look forward to welcoming you into the Keele swimming family!
