Does the smell of chlorine get your heart racing? Has a poolside become your second home? If so, don’t delay and join Keele University Swimming Club today!
KUSC is designed for all abilities – given that you can swim 50m unaided and are comfortable treading water in the deep end. So, whether you dive like an Olympian or just want to come along for an easy paddle, KUSC prides itself on promoting equality and catering for all members, both in and out of the pool. Pool training takes place three times a week: on a Tuesday and Thursday, 8.30-9.30PM, at Stone Leisure Centre and on a Sunday, 7.30-9PM, at J2. We also have an additional on-campus land-training session on a Wednesday! If racing is your passion, we take part in BUCS competitions over the academic year, as well as various friendly galas. Transport is provided to all off-campus training and competitions.
As a team, we not only swim together; we also fundraise together! We’ve been working closely with the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice: from bike-rides to bake sales to beating the 3 Peaks Challenge, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to get involved in supporting this fantastic cause. With our charity work and our weekly Wednesday night socials, you’ll quickly meet new people, make new friends, and become a part of the KUSC family!
If you have any questions in the meantime, don’t hesitate to get in touch! We look forward to you joining us for another fantastic year with KUSC!
