Does the smell of chlorine get your heart racing? Has a poolside become your second home? If so, don’t delay and join Keele University Swimming Club today!

KUSC is designed for all abilities – given that you can swim 50m unaided and are comfortable treading water in the deep end. So, whether you dive like an Olympian or just want to come along for an easy paddle, KUSC prides itself on promoting equality and catering for all members, both in and out of the pool. We currently swim thrice a week, with 2 land training sessions during the week as well. As pools become more accessable again, we hope to increase our time in the pool as soon as possible, while staying COVID safe. If you enjoy competing, then we have some virtual competitions taking place in semester 1, and hopefully some more significant events like BUCS happening in semester 2.

As a team, we not only swim together; we also fundraise together! We’ve been working closely with the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice: from bike-rides to bake sales to beating the 3 Peaks Challenge, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to get involved in supporting this fantastic cause. With our charity work and our weekly Wednesday night socials, you’ll quickly meet new people, make new friends, and become a part of the KUSC family!

Training Times:

Monday - Land training at the sports centre 8-9pm

Tuesday - Swimming at Stone Pool 8-9pm

Wednesday - Strength and Conditioning room 6-7pm

Saturday - Swimming at Stone Pool 3-4pm 

Sunday - Swimming at J2 7-8pm
