Womens Rugby

Women’s Rugby is an ever-growing club at Keele made up of welcoming and friendly girls that have a passion for playing rugby and promoting it as a sport for women as well as men.

With our 1st XV team playing within BUCS Northern 2A, and having a develpoment team that has frequent matches, we have more than enough room for people who have played before, but also those that have never picked up a rugby ball before. We finished second in our league in the 21/22 season after not having a season the year previous due to COVID and with a nearly completely new team compared to the 19/20 season when we won the league we did exceptionally well! And last year we were undefeated in our league and varsity and have since moved up a league! 

We will support you in anyway we can in getting you on the pitch, no matter what your skill level is! We have a lot of positive feedback every week saying how welcome people are made to felt, especially those who have never played before! If rugby isn't your thing we even have a social membership for those who'd like to join in for the social side of the sport! We have socials every single week on a Wednesday and they are great for team bonding and to unwind, especially after a match day.

Sunday: 13:15 - 15:15 on the Grass to the right of the sports centre
Monday: 18:00 - 20:00 on the Grass to the right of the Sports Centre 
Friday: 17:00 - 19:00 on the 3G
