Women’s Rugby is an ever-growing club at Keele made up of welcoming and friendly girls that have a passion for playing rugby and promoting it as a sport for women as well as men.
With our 1st XV team playing within BUCS Northern 3A, and having a develpoment team that has frequent matches, we have more than enough room for people who have played before, but also those that have never picked up a rugby ball before. We finished second in our league in the 21/22 season after not having a season the year previous due to COVID and with a nearly completely new team compared to the 19/20 season when we won the league we did exceptionally well!
We will support you in anyway we can in getting you on the pitch, no matter what your skill level is! We have a lot of positive feedback every week saying how welcome people are made to felt, especially those who have never played before! If rugby isn't your thing we even have a social membership for those who'd like to join in for the social side of the sport! We have socials every single week on a Wednesday and they are great for team bonding and to unwind, especially after a match day.
