Keele SU Housing Fair - Landlord Information and Booking

Wednesday 28th January 2026 // 11am - 3pm // Keele Students' Union

**Bookings Now Open**

Keele SU Housing Fairs are organised specifically for students looking for properties and for landlords who want to showcase the properties they have. The Housing Fair is an excellent opportunity for landlords to come into direct contact with our student population, speak to potential tenants and register their interest.

This year's Housing Fair will be held alongside a Volunteering Fair, so your stall will be positioned next to various charities and volunteering stalls in addition to landlords.

Who can attend the Housing Fair?

Only landlords who have an in-date Accreditation Certificate from a local or UK-wide landlord accreditation scheme, like the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) or the Private Rented Sector Accreditation Scheme (PRSAS) are eligible to attend the Fair. Letting agents can only advertise properties that are owned by eligible landlords.

In addition, you are required to submit a copy of your tenancy agreement to su.housingfair@keele.ac.uk for checking by advisers from Advice & Support at Keele SU (ASK).

Why do I need to send you a copy of my tenancy agreement?

We need to approve your tenancy agreement before we can confirm your place at the Housing Fair. We will check your tenancy agreement for any clauses that are illegal, unlawful, or could be unfair.

Please note that if we've approved your tenancy agreement for a previous fair we do still need to see it again this year - we ask to see them every year because terms and conditions of contracts can change, new laws can be introduced, and further training can also develop our knowledge.

Please send a copy of your tenancy agreement to su.housingfair@keele.ac.uk after you've booked your stall. We are unable to open Pages files, so please send us your documents in Word or PDF formats and remember to send us a blank copy, without any of your current or former tenants' personal details.

When will bookings close?

Bookings will close on Tuesday 20th January 2026 to allow us time to finish checking tenancy agreements and make the necessary arrangements for the stalls.

How much does it cost to attend the fair?

Prices will depend on the number of houses or accommodation block rooms in your portfolio:

1-3 houses / rooms £60
4-9 houses  / rooms £120
10-49 houses / rooms £360
50+ houses / rooms £480

What is provided for the stall?

You will be provided with a trestle table of approximately 6x3 feet, two chairs, and WiFi.

We will try to accommodate requests for electricity access but this can't be guaranteed - electricity and stall positions will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Will parking be free?

We will provide a free parking permit to all attendees, which will allow you to park in the university's permit car parks - you will be sent a link where you can register your car with the University's parking team.

You can view a campus parking map on the University's website; your permit will allow you to park in all the bright blue and navy sections on this map. (Events Parking in front of Keele Hall is for their events only, and not for the Housing Fair)

IMPORTANT: Free parking is not available in the Pay to Park car parks, which includes the car park in front of the Students' Union. If you park in one of these areas you must buy a ticket on the day. We do not accept any liability for parking charges issued to landlords for parking otherwise than in accordance with these instructions.

How is the Fair advertised to students?

We work hard to ensure students are aware of the Fair. Last year, we promoted it through the following channels.

  • Digital posters on the big screens around the SU and on tills.
  • Leaflets put in 1,500 refreshers packs.
  • Social media posts and interactive stories.
  • Posters around campus.
  • Stickers on coffee cups and food sold in the SU.
  • SU newsletters sent by email to all students.
  • News article prominently displayed on the main page of the website.
  • Event listing on the website and Keele SU and Keele apps.
  • Banner on the ASK landing page, as well as mentions on multiple housing advice pages.
  • Bollard covers, a giant outside banner and big directional posters throughout the SU on the day.

What are you telling students about the Renters' Rights Act?

We have created a page to inform students about the most relevant changes to their rights and will be available to answer any questions they have. You can visit the page if you would like to see the advice we are giving to students.
