How to Stand in an Election

Submit Your Nomination Online

  • Log in to your SU account using your university credentials.
  • Go to the elections section or your club/society page
  • Click on the election you want to stand in and select ‘Stand’ or ‘Nominate Yourself’.
  • Complete the nomination form:
    • Fill in your details.
    • Upload a photo (if required).
    • Write your manifesto (why you’re standing, your aims, etc.) 
  • Submit your nomination before the deadline. You’ll get an automated confirmation when your nomination is received and approved.
