This day takes place in rememberance of March 21st 1960, when police opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration in Sharpeville, South Africa, against the apartheid pass laws.

This event recognises the observance and liberation days that Keele SU is able to celebrate during this academic year.

While we aim to acknowledge each of these important dates, our staff team is not always able to organise an activity for every one. If you would like to organise something yourself, either individually or with a group of fellow students, and need some guidance or support, please do get in touch!

Have we missed an important date you believe should be included? Would you like support in running an event? Let us know!
