Sustainability at Keele SU

Find out more about the Students' Union's sustainability work and how you can get involved!

Understanding sustainability is crucial, and universities play a key role in our planet's future. Keele SU is committed to making sustainability accessible and inclusive for all students, offering numerous opportunities to get involved.

Each year, SOS-UK surveys student opinions on university experiences and career aspirations. In the latest survey, 76% of students agreed that Keele SU takes action to limit its environmental and societal impact. While this is encouraging, we aim for 100%.

We deliver excellent student activities and campaigns, addressing all aspects of sustainability, from environmental practices to social justice. Keele SU has declared a climate emergency and enacted a Sustainability Action Plan, approved by the Board of Trustees in 2022.
