Volunteer Mentors in the Youth Offending Service

Stoke-on-Trent Youth Offending Services (YOS) works with children and young people to prevent offending and re-offending as its primary aims in line with national youth justice guidance and legislation. We are looking to recruit a team of volunteers to support the delivery of a new Volunteer Mentoring service that will support young people into positive options and divert them away from crime. As a Youth Justice Mentor, you will be expected to work one to one with a young person and within a group setting where appropriate to empower and motivate them to access mainstream and specialised provision across the city as directed by their interests. You will be a listening ear and work closely with their YOS case manager to provide a holistic package of support that ultimately diverts young people away from criminality.
