Amity Hub opened in June 2019 in the centre of Newcastle under Lyme and offer supplementary education, support & guidance, help to find work placements/voluntary work, training, plus a whole range of enrichment activities for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children who are making a new start in the UK aged 13 – 25 years of age. These young people are cared for by Staffordshire County Council.

Amity Hub’s values are based on community cohesion, integration and progression for young people, aiming to work closely with local business, charities, educational facilities and volunteers.

By teaching the young people we support the life skills needed, we hope to enable them to be more independent holistically. This in turn takes increasing pressures off other services and benefits them and the wider community.

If you are passionate about helping young people and want to make a difference while gaining valuable experience, we can offer you a free DBS check, free training and paid travel expenses. All volunteers will receive an induction as well as regular support.
