Construction of a wildlife hide (“Hide and Seek”) on campus to support educational and wellbeing interventions and activities.
6-8 people required to help construct the Hide and Seek. This will include: creating and laying a flat base (e.g. digging, vegetation removal, etc); erecting a pre-fabricated garden shed; painting the hide; putting up/screwing in 4x interpretation boards. Estates will be on hand to offer practical support and tools.
Volunteers need to be aware that it will be outside in January so highly likely to be cold and slippy, plus it will be physical work so they need to dress appropriately and be comfortable working outside doing manual work. Please bring your own lunch, although we are free to go back to campus for drinks/food at any point if you want something hot or just need a sugar hit!
The activity will take place on Friday 21 January, ideally 10.30am start. I would hope that we could be cutting the ribbon to officially open it by early afternoon, maybe 3pm ish.
We also need to say a huge thank you to the Keele Key Fund donors for their financial backing.
