Retail Volunteer - Bradwell

Why does the Dougie Mac need you? Be part of our 400 strong team of retail volunteers across 21 shops in Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire. By volunteering with us, you will be doing your bit to help Dougie Mac raise vital funds needed to provide care for over 3,500 families in the local area. Why volunteer with us? Volunteering is a great way to gain new or develop skills. You will get to meet with, new, like-minded people and increase your confidence both personally and with retail too. You will receive training relevant to your role and have the opportunity to attend courses and events run by Dougie Mac. By volunteering with us, you will be helping the retail team to raise over a fantastic £5 million a year: all whilst improving your wellbeing and personal skills. What does being a shop volunteer involve? It will depend on which role you would like to be involved with; tasks will include: Sorting donations Hanging clothes Serving on the till Displaying stock Stock rotation Sorting items for recycling Who will be my line manager? The shop manager or deputy – you will meet them during your taster session What will I have to wear? A volunteer badge must be worn at all times with smart / sensible clothing and footwear appropriate to the role How much availability and time commitment do I need to give? We ask our volunteers to complete a 4 hour shift Will I have to complete any training? Yes: all volunteers are required to complete mandatory training; staff can support with this if required
