The university has a large issue with spikings/sexual assaults/rapes. I believe we need to make this more aware but also have more safeguards in place for students. Many of the student body have had to deal with these incidences and it is not okay, I have noticed many of the students here (mainly men) are very sexually inappropriate and will not take no for an answer. Or they have taken advantage when knowing the other person is unwilling/cannot consent, mainly they get around this using the "grey area" of consent but I would like the SU and uni to have a no tolerance policy and to have very abrupt repercussions. I would like the SU to: Start running more consent sessions/have compulsory sessions to complete. Have a complete no tolerance policy and have very abrupt repercussions that start almost immediately after a complaint has been made.
