What does a Voice Rep do?

A Student Voice Representative (Voice Rep) is the link between students and university staff. They:

  • Gather feedback from their coursemates about teaching, assessment, feedback, learning resources and student experience.
  • Take that feedback to Student Staff Voice Committee (SSVC) meetings, where issues can be discussed with staff.
  • Share updates and outcomes with students afterwards.
  • May also contribute to SU surveys, focus groups and other student voice activities.

The key is to represent your coursemates’ views, rather than just your own. Voice Reps receive training and support from Keele SU.
