🎟️ Ticketing & Payments: Managing Attendance and Payments

Ticketing is essential for managing attendance, collecting payments, and ensuring your events run smoothly. Whether you're hosting a formal, a trip, or a speaker night, using the right system helps you stay organized and compliant.

✅ Always Use SU Platforms

  • Secure Payments: All transactions are processed safely through the SU’s payment gateway.
  • Automatic Accounting: Funds go directly into your society’s SU account—no need to handle cash or external transfers.
  • Transparency: Using the SU system ensures clear records for audits and handovers.
  • Support: The SU team can help with troubleshooting, refunds, and reporting.

🛠️ How to Request Tickets

  1. Create Your Event: Log into your society’s admin tools and create the event with all the key details (name, date, time, location, description).
  2. Fill Out the Ticket Request Form: Once your event is created, complete the SU’s ticket request form. You’ll be asked to specify:
    • Ticket types (e.g. member, non-member, early bird)
    • Prices
    • Quantity
    • Sale start and end dates
  3. Wait for Approval: The SU team will review and publish your tickets. You’ll receive a confirmation once they’re live.

  • Close ticket sales a day or two before the event to finalise logistics.

📲 On the Day of the Event

  • Have a committee member at the door to welcome guests and manage entry.
  • Keep a few spare tickets or a backup list for last-minute issues.
