Hi everyone!
We're Keele Self Defence Society, an inexpensive student-led society aiming to improve the safety of students on campus by teaching techniques and life skills to help you protect yourself!
Every technique we teach has been pressure tested against larger opponents before the session, and we are always open to feedback.
Our classes are open to everyone, and once a month we run a Women/NB only class to provide a safe space to practice more relevant techniques for those groups!
Whilst all our instructors have martial arts backgrounds (black/brown belt or equivalent), we don't do gradings! Everyone is treated equally and our positive attitude and environments aim to help everyone learn and most importantly have a good time.
We run regular socials alongside our weekly classes, and plan on running multiple fundraisers for charity.
