We are deeply saddened by the news of the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria last week, and our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by this disaster. This tragedy has taken over 35,000 lives so far and destroyed homes and communities of thousands more.
At this time of great loss and hardship, it is important that we come together to offer our support and solidarity to those who have been impacted by the earthquake. This includes providing aid and resources to those who are in need where we can, and more locally, supporting those students at Keele with friends and family who have been directly affected.
Over the next few weeks, the SU in collaboration with students will be running these events:
- Turkey/Syria Bake Sale Fundraiser
- Thursday February the 16th 10am till 4pm
- Forest of Light
- Turkey/Syria Society and Club Fundraiser
- Tuesday the February the 28th
