KPA President Blog

Hi, I’m your KPA President, and I’m here to represent and champion postgraduate academic interests at Keele.

My role is focused on ensuring that postgraduate students have the best possible academic and research experience. I work closely with the University and the Students’ Union to represent your views on learning, teaching, supervision, and research, making sure postgraduate perspectives are heard at the highest levels.

I sit on key University committees, including Senate and University Council, where decisions are made that directly affect your academic experience. I also work in partnership with the Students’ Union Education Officer to review feedback that comes through the student representation system and turn it into meaningful change.

Alongside this, I support initiatives such as writing retreats, academic skills development, and conversations around postgraduate funding and bursaries. I also work to make sure postgraduate representation is fully integrated within the wider Students’ Union, so your voice is never an afterthought.

If something impacts your academic journey as a postgraduate student, I want to hear about it.

Talk to me about:

  • Postgraduate funding and bursaries
  • Research and supervision experience
  • Learning, teaching, and assessment
  • Writing retreats and academic development
  • Academic representation and feedback
