An update from the Activities Team for Club and Society Committee Members.
There's only 3 weeks until Freshers!
We hope you're all having an amazing summer and are coming back to Keele well rested and with some exciting plans for the 2017/18 academic year!
Below is an update on everything coming up from the Activities Team for this freshers, including lots of stuff we need you to do, so please read on and get in touch with any questions.
Committee Conference - Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd September - KeeleSU
Every year we bring you a huge, two-day training event to make sure that the committees for all of our student groups are ready to smash last year's achievements. We even chuck on a lunch.
Have a look at this year's event webpage for more information and to book on to the sessions that are most relevant to you.
Remember to let us know if you need early access to your room before midday on Monday 11th September!
Welcome Festival - Sunday 24th September - Forest of Lights/Outside KeeleSU
The day after the big campus move in, Welcome Festival is a daytime event, run in conjunction with Student Services. There'll be stalls, live performances, inflatables and even a fairground ride.
This is a great chance to get out in the sun (fingers crossed!) and meet new students to tell them what you're all about and have the space to show them what you do. Coming along? Then share our facebook event and let freshers know that you'll be there to meet them!
Want to book yourself a stall or a performance on stage? Then email su.activities@keele.ac.uk and let us know - but space is limited, so its first come, first served!
Society Sign Up - Monday 25th, 10am-4pm - Tuesday 26th, 10am-3pm - KeeleSU Ballroom
The last of our annual fixtures is also the busiest! Society Sign-Up is on the Monday and Tuesday after move-in weekend and is the ideal opportunity to show off your group and get loads of members, right at the start of freshers!
Book your place by putting your name down in this Google Doc - but again, space is limited, so it is first come served.

...and don't forget about AU Sports Fair, happening in the Sports Centre on Sunday 24th!
Anything else?
Confused as to why you can't buy memberships yet? They're back online on the 1st September - so let us know if your membership price is correct ASAP! Remember, even though you're on committee, you still need to purchase your membership.
Some of your committee missing from your group webpage? Let us know the full roster and we'll update your details. Send us Keele Card numbers if you can, as these are unique and names are not!
