KPA Association Secretary

I am Apshara, your elected KPA Secretary!

I am from the southern part of India. I started my journey at Keele in September 2025. I am doing/ did my Master's degree in Applied Child Psychology. I did my placement at NSCG Newcastle College with the placement team (funny doing placement with a placement team. But don’t ask me why I did my placement outside my area...) I am also a student ambassador.

Other than academics, I love love love dancing! I like to cook, paint, draw, and listening to music (Mostly in my mother tongue, which is Tamil and KPOP) and handicrafts. I love talking to people. Let’s discuss everything! (I may not know most of them, but I am open to learning).

Things I love about Keele are my room and the kitchen (mostly I spend my time there working on my assignments and cooking) and co-op (basically, I live there too). They have membership cards and amazing offers! Last but not the least is KPA! Oh my God, I love the space, so vibrant and so fun to hang out!

The one thing you wish to know before you come to Keele is that the amount of time that you are going to spend thinking about what to cook (better to keep a recipe book!) Importantly, sometimes it is okay to feel that you are left out but remember, you will always find your home away from home at Keele!

I am here to represent postgraduate students’ voices, make communication clear (especially, friendly) and be the support system throughout all the tiny and big moments of your postgraduate life. If you have any concerns or need any help, please feel free to talk to me. I am always happy to help and be there for you!

Enjoy the rest of your day or night!
